HTML color codes translate the colors we see every day into formats computers can recognize and display. Widely used in web design and software, these codes include Hex, RGB, HSL, and HTML color names.
Hex Color Codes
One of the most popular formats is Hex color codes, which consist of six-digit hexadecimal values. Each pair represents the intensity of red, green, and blue within the color.
Hex values range from 00 (no intensity) to FF (full intensity). For example, pure white uses the maximum intensity of red, green, and blue, resulting in the Hex code #FFFFFF.
Conversely, black represents the absence of color, with all intensities at their lowest, producing the Hex code #000000.
With a basic understanding of Hex notation, creating grayscale colors becomes straightforward—they use equal intensities of red, green, and blue.
Primary colors like red, green, and blue are created by setting one color to its highest intensity while the others remain at the lowest.
